I’ve been looking for an affordable action camera that I can use for my travels and water sports so when Supremo World asked me to try their new Supremo 4k, I said, “Yes!” For an equipment newbie like me, it wasn’t long until I got used to the buttons and commands. There are a lot of possible settings you can try to get different looks on your photos and videos. I highlighted some important tips that might be useful especially for non-techie users like me. Hope this helps!
Photos and Videos
Personally, I think it does capture good videos especially when there’s enough lighting but there’s still a need to improve on the photos. My insider tip is if you want to get good photos you can snapshot it from the video clips through VLC or similar application. It will still give you a high-resolution photo.
Here are some unedited photos using Supremo 4K:
For the video sample, I compiled some RAW clips from my recent travels. I haven’t edited them so you can see how it will turn out when you use Supremo 4k. The sound is not as clear when it’s inside the waterproof case (as expected), although there are still instances that you can hear the audio.
Based on my experience, the battery can last for at least 2-3 hours. I used it while surfing. Just note that even with the spare battery you will still need to recharge it while inside the camera. Maybe next time, they can also include a battery charger.
The icing on the cake is the wrist remote control and the different types of mounts. I put mine in my surfboard already. It doesn’t have the mount for floater, like that of Go Pro but you can use the extra mounts as alternative.
You can transfer your photos and videos from the camera to your phone when you download the Supremo World mobile app. It can also serve as your alternative remote control. The transfer and playback from the camera to the phone might not be as smooth and fast and it can drain your battery.
It doesn’t have a “Selfie stick” or mini-pod and a memory card so you have to purchase it yourself.
